Privacy Analysis of Forward and Backward Untraceable RFID Authentication Schemes
نویسندگان
چکیده
In this paper, we analyze RFID authentication schemes designed to provide forward untraceability and backward untraceability: the L-K and S-M schemes. We show how to trace tags in the L-K scheme without corrupting tags. We also show that if a standard cryptographic pseudorandom bit generator (PRBG) is used in the SM scheme, then the scheme may fail to provide forward untraceability and backward untraceability. To achieve the desired untraceability features, the S-M scheme can use a robust PRBG which provides forward security and backward security.

Enhancing privacy of recent authentication schemes for low-cost RFID systems
Nowadays Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) systems have appeared in lots of identification and authentication applications. In some sensitive applications, providing secure and confidential communication is very important for end-users. To this aim, different RFID authentication protocols have been proposed, which have tried to provide security and privacy of RFID users. In this paper, we a...

The term "Internet of Things (IoT)" expresses a huge network of smart and connected objects which can interact with other devices without our interposition. Radio frequency identification (RFID) is a great technology and an interesting candidate to provide communications for IoT networks, but numerous security and privacy issues need to be considered. In this paper, we analyze the security and ...
متن کاملAn Efficient and Private RFID Authentication Protocol Supporting Ownership Transfer
Radio Frequency IDentification (RFID) systems are getting pervasively deployed in many daily life applications. But this increased usage of RFID systems brings some serious problems together, security and privacy. In some applications, ownership transfer of RFID labels is sine qua non need. Specifically, the owner of RFID tag might be required to change several times during its lifetime. Beside...
متن کاملNew Findings on Rfid Authentication Schemes against De-synchronization Attack
In order to protect privacy of RFID tag against malicious tag tracing activities, most RFID authentication protocols support forward/backward security properties by updating the same secret values held at both tag end and database end asynchronously during each authentication session. However, in real network environments an adversary may easily interrupt or interfere transmission of necessary ...
متن کاملAnalysis and Construction of Efficient RFID Authentication Protocol with Backward Privacy
Privacy of RFID systems is receiving increasing attentions in the RFID community and an important issue required as to the security of RFID system. Backward privacy means the adversary can not trace the tag later even if he reveals the internal states of the tag sometimes before. In this paper, we analyze two recently proposed RFID authentication schemes: Randomized GPS and Randomized Hashed GP...
